Terms of Service

1. Who can use Sorelia

You must be at least 13 years old to use Sorelia. By using the app, you confirm that you are 13 or older. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission.

You may only create one account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

2. What Sorelia is

Sorelia is a private app for maintaining close relationships with specific people you invite. It is not a public social network. Connections are formed only through explicit mutual consent via invite codes.

3. Your content

You own the content you create on Sorelia — notes, photos, voice messages, and anything else you share.

By posting content, you grant us a limited licence to store, display, and deliver that content to the people you've shared it with. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for any purpose other than operating the app.

You are responsible for the content you share. You agree not to share content that:

• Is illegal
• Harasses, threatens, or harms another person
• Violates someone else's privacy or intellectual property
• Is sexually explicit and shared without the other person's consent
• Is designed to deceive or impersonate someone

We may remove content that violates these Terms and may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate them.

4. How connections work

Connections on Sorelia are formed when one user sends an invite and another accepts. Both parties must agree. Either party can end a connection at any time by deleting it from within the app, which removes the shared space and its content for both users.

5. Blocking and reporting

You can block any connection at any time. A blocked user cannot contact you, view your content, or appear in your app. You can report a user through the app. We will review reports and take appropriate action, which may include removing content or suspending accounts.

6. Premium features

Sorelia may offer premium features available through a paid subscription. Subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store or Google Play. Payments are processed by Apple or Google — we do not handle payment information directly. Refunds are governed by the respective store's refund policy.

We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods.

7. What we don't allow

You agree not to:

• Use the app to harass, threaten, or harm anyone
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the app
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the app
• Use the app for any commercial purpose without our written permission
• Create fake accounts or misrepresent your identity

8. Service availability

We aim to keep Sorelia running reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may temporarily suspend the app for maintenance, security, or other operational reasons.

We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or shut down the app with reasonable notice where possible.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings > Delete Account). This permanently removes your data.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sorelia is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are in a jurisdiction that requires local law to apply, those mandatory protections still apply to you.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify you through the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
